• Language, language. I don't know why the Nepali football fans hate us so much, but calling them cunts isn't going to help the situation.
new FIFA ranking system is a joke. Beating Bhutan in WC qualifier will earn you more point than beating UAE or North Korea (or even holding South Korea for a draw) in friendly or tournament like Nehru Cup. Bangladesh and Nepal still smelling their Victories in WC qualifier against East Timor and pakistan and Lebanon.

rankings dont matter as long as FIGHTING AND WINNING ATTITUDE gets instilled in the coming generation of players... the rankings will rise ( i dont think we are gonnaa fall any lower, we r already at our lowest ;-) , we will only GO UP from here)... also the FIFA RANKINGS are just a BIG JOKE....england is number 3, while brazil are 13 , i bet brazil u-23 can easily beat england senior team
• Rankings do matter. For us we know India is better than some of the higher ranked team. But think about those footballers who are prying abroad for chances. They will be associated with country ranked 168th in their resume. Nothing good will come if the rank is lower.
And yes ... F**K AIFF !!

Well that wont matter for a while because really the only ranking that affect the foreign based players is 75. We are far from that. For now these rankings count for our groupings. The AIFF made stupid decisions. 1st was getting rid of Bob Houghton without a good coach. The AFC recommended a good French coach but AIFF did not take him. The 2nd thing was scheduling teams we know we cant beat. I mean yes it is good to play Azerbaijan and Cameroon but the AIFF should know that if we lose by a big margin that moral will go low. We should play teams around 140. Gradually we will improve.

  • @ preetam - wat happens if india beat syria ,nepal and maldives?
