Indian women 's 4*100 m relay team has created and bettered their own National record. They ran 43.42 sec yesterday, bettering their record of 44.03 sec which they ran a couple of months ago. Another similar time of around 43.5 sec should be good enough to secure their Qualification for Rio Olympics.

As the last date for Qualifications for Olympics is approaching(11th July), Athletics Federation has decided to host another event which will serve as a Qualification event for our Athletes.

CREDIT SHD GO TO THE THINK TANK OF ATHLETICS.First of all, this event was supposed to be held  the deadline date but they took great initiative for rescheduling it for the betterment of the Athletes and give them every chance of making it to Rio.

One more thing which pleasantly amazed me is that they are conducting events at two places and have arranged the schedule in such a way that events don't coincide which means these Athletes will have double chance of Qualification. So,credit shd go to Athletics Federation.

Who was the first Woman Athlete to represent India in Olympics? Some people just remember P T Usha. Some cannot recall anything before Marykom.
N Polley (Nora) represented India in Tennis in 1924 Olympics at Paris.
