@ArsenalFan700 ; If Ranty, Odafa will be nothing in ISL, then great players like Trezeguet also did not prove to be an immense impact in ISL. Its all about requirement according to the league. Ranty, Chidi, Odafa fulfill I-League requirements, Elano and ilk fulfill ISL requirements and players like Bertos, Josh Walker will be successful in Australia. While choosing Foreigners for I-League, choose those Foreigners who fulfill the needs of I-League clubs.

Bertos was not even successful last season in the A-League. Walker would fail in the A-League as well. I agree about selecting foreigners that fit I-League club needs but at the same time I believe it is easy to see how we can improve to a point where Ranti and Odafa are not "I-League foreign stars". We need to get to that point!

Oh seriously! Trezeguet is 37 years old. Bloody ranti is in his prime now(29). Don't compare these two. Its like an insult to David. Maybe your Ranti might play better football that Trezeguet at this point. But can he bring in people? No he will not. Cause no one knows him. And anyways some of ISL games were very technical in my opinion. More than I-League. Though I-League has its share of success too. But, I would any day prefer a more technical and slow Trezeguet who can bring fans, play decent football over utterly huge monster i.e Ranti Martins. Nothing against him. But, that's how it is.

And about the requirement of the league being fulfilled. Typical mentality is there with the clubs. For the I-League to grow we need players who attract people. Someone has to take the step. If one team brings a good players and then some good things start happening for the team. Then others will also try to get good players. Its like a dominos effect. On the other hand. if we have this mentality then we will never progress

ISL is the right platform to judge players now? Guys like Jeje and Sandesh became stars there, one of them a goal blind striker and another who gets turned inside out by unfit Nepalese players.

P.S. I am sure just like IPL most of the matches in ISL are rigged, any half decent investigation should get the pseudo owners in jail.

I am not saying that ISL is the right platform to judge players and I agree 100% with munna but that is the problem! Ranti and Odafa are still considered as the type of foreigners that would thrive in India. What I am saying is that the ISL showed us that these type of guys can be marginalized and that is through our defenders becoming better skill wise and physically. Instead you have these foreigners come to India and be able to bulldoze their way past some skinny Indian player or a player who panics at the sight of a big Nigerian and gives away a penalty.

I agree with most part of your post except the ISL bit. ISL showed nothing except our players are technically and physically mostly shit, nothing that we already didnt knew.

So you agreed with me about ISL... you literally said what I said but included everyone in the I-League.
