I know that but donot you think that wc a team which does not even play in the highest league is no match against the country's best. a little bit higher level is required against nt
Agree with u Rudra..they should stop playing wid sides like Western Command..this will give our players a false sense of pride..maybe thy should try n play more competitive matches against I-League teams..the likes of PuneFC, Salgaonkar, etc. When Houghton played against 3rd Div teams there were a lot of hue n cry but now nobody is opening thei mouth..Hypocrites!!
Bob's idiotic matches(More of a summer Vacation) came at the cost of crores,Colaco trying to finalize his squad by playing amateur teams cost peanuts.Hence don't mind what he is doing.
They'll anyway play Qatar and Maldives although I feel AIFF should have arranged few more.

common man.. <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D --> its part of training and they might be testing their short passes and new game plan with this team... it's always better to start with small clubs... anyhow I heard that seniors will be playing a friendly with India U23...after that we have matches with maldives and qatar,,, lets hope they will arrange one more friendly..
the current schedule of training matches......of first facing local teams followed by national junior teams....then other national teams....looks to be good plan of getting match fit with true match practice with the coach's strategy......may be after final squad is fixed we should see our team facing some top i-league teams before friendlies.......its time for us getting back to the same point where we belong....
India will be playing another friendly on 6-July-2011 with Vietnam. This will be live on ten Action and 24 ghanta.
great news. I guess that means all friendly matches shall be shown via ten action+. Looks like the officials have understood the meaning of friendly matches and giving some match exposure before the important matches
tomorrow(tuesday), there is a practice match scheduled between national team and u-23 team which recently played pre-Olympic qualifiers
Indian senior team won the match by 1-0 via penalty through Debabrata Roy.
