tomorrow(tuesday), there is a practice match scheduled between national team and u-23 team which recently played pre-Olympic qualifiers
Indian senior team won the match by 1-0 via penalty through Debabrata Roy.
INDIAN SENIOR LINE UP :- Sandip,
    Debabrata, Gourmangi,
    Mahesh, Samir. Climax,
    Mehtab, Anthony(Salgaocar), Steven, Sunil,
    Jeje

we saw the standard of u23 team ..now that team without Jeje concedes only 1 goal against seniors!!!! very discouraging

Poor result and to be frank senior team is physically very weak.Even Japanese U-17 players look stronger than them.

The Goan coach's worst fears came true as the seniors missed several opportunities and the youngsters gave them a lesson in the 'tiki-taka' game that the coach has been professing to prepare the team for the first round World Cup qualifiers against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) next month. They played in three sessions of 30 minutes each here at the Ambedkar Stadium and Colaco rotated all his players to test his bench strength. The most impressive among the World Cup probables were midfielder Jewel Raja, Jibon Singh and Shilton D'Silva, who turned out for the Under-23 team. The trio pressed hard in the last session with their excellent passing game and that put the seniors under extreme pressure, so much so that midfielder Harmanjot Khabra lost temper and slapped junior defender Arnab Mondal. The East Bengal player had to be red-carded but the seniors were saved the blushes. Colaco said that Jewel, Jibon and Shilton would form the core of his central midfield. "I have always said that Indian Arrows will form the core of the national team and these three players will play an important role. Today they played excellently and they opened up the game," he said. The coach also praised Debabrata, who shared a lot of workload in the defence. The seasoned defender was a live wire on the field and Colaco said that his experience would count against the UAE. Source:Times of India

The Ambedkar stadium will host Indian football team's World Cup qualifier against UAE on July 28 as the AIFF feels the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium won't be ready in time for the match.
"Ambedkar is hosting the match as the Nehru stadium won't be ready in time," AIFF general secretary Kushal Das said.

Rather than drafting the junior from arrows into senior squad...few seniors like chettri, subrata, gourmangi, steven etc should be drafted in the arrows team for the WC qualifiers. What arrows want is a little more strength in critical positions and with gourmangi as central def, chettri as forward , steven as winger and subrata as GK fulfill.

To score against this Indian U23, I think senior team should be technically stronger ( like Qatar U23),

seems to be silly passes/long balls will not work against this junior team.. one thing I can say that their(U23) tackles are very good..

Not a bad idea. Gouramangi instead of Mondal, Chhetri instead of Sabeeth, Dias instead of Jibon (can either Ralte or Dias play on the left wing?), and Subrata instead of Kattimani would be good changes.

I'd probably also include Mehtab instead of Shilton? Is there a more experienced option to replace Abhishek Das at right back?
