@archak its useless..whether you make a deal with police officials or CID its very difficult to curb black marketers. best way to curb them is by not tolerating them n staying safe by getting your tickets in time.
Black market tickets will be there at Wimbledon. .World Cup...Champions League. ..irrespective of severity of punishment & the type of policing. ..its the nature of Sport & its fans...
ISL ahould consider selling season ticket / booklets for Home games....this way...get a lot of money upfront...and fans can then buy a Booklet...and give the tickets to friends/family when they can't attend...
This will help to a small degree to ensure good attendance and less black marekting
IMG-Reliance were themselves embroidled in Black Marketing of tickets in FIFA world Cup in Brazil. What can you expect now when it is their league in home turf?? ) By the way, season ticket culture is not going to be successful in India. Indians go to stadium or movie theater in groups. We cannot expect them to buy season ticket worth thousands of rupees for whole family or group and each member. Thats why they pick and choose that what match they are going to see. Online ticket system is seriously messed up. If one can purchase ticket at home online, then print it out with barcode and just scan it while entering stadium, thats fine. If one has to again queue outside stadium to validate and then get tocket at the stadium, that defeats the very purpose of online ticketing which is there for saving time. Old fashioned Stadium Box office, and it should be open all day all week, is still the best way. You go to big clubs like Barcelona or Real Madrid, they still sell tickets at the stadium at window.
There is a quote from a Football Edge agent: "From next season, players who play well this season will definitely get an increase. People will look at these salaries as a benchmark. As an agent, this puts me in a good position to demand more for my players - because I know what clubs can spend. This is a landmark moment in earnings for football players. The budget of teams should also be increased next time - to Rs 30 crore (from Rs 21 crore)"
season tickets are actually beneficial for fans who will be going or has plans or are available to watch the full league games of isl. if at all anyone's family or relatives are planning to come then there is always a provision of buying a ticket. Fc Goa also had made available some season passes at the start but in small numbers but that quantity got sold out within no time ; so most of them had to rely on tickets
New ISL CEO is also the head of business development, marketing, and sponsorship of Mumbai Indians. This could really be good for the league when it comes to sponsors and how they market themselves.
