I am not saying I disagree with you as I am yet to see USFC play yet but saying he is a Korean college level player at best would make him one of the best keepers in the league LOL. At least in the Korean College League they dive at penalties all the time when the average I-League keeper will just go down on his arse.
As for the team, its only pre-season. No one says they will be I-League contenders, not even close. We all know they will be in a Shillong Lajong (2009-10 season) situation where relegation could easily befall them. Anyway I still stick to ONGC and Air India for relegation (more of a passionate hate for the 2 clubs) with USFC just surviving.
Presenting the Mumbai FC of NE.
Just brought this up , coz Rudra mentioned the defense looked like a College team...
Yoon Tae is not good enough. Not to say Manotosh is great but he is definitely better than him. I have a theory behind this wierd fashion of USFC replacing goalie in every match.
Never in I-league history has a team wasted foreigner slot on a goalkeeper. There are a lot of good Indian goalies around. When Yoon arrived, he was accompanied by his father. What I think is that his father might be contributing some money towards USFC sponsorship which they needed badly. The clause might have asked for a certain number of matches for him.
Yoon Tae is not great but in terms of I-League standard I dont think we give him credit. Watch him against USFC, he was amazing. USFC would have lost if not for him.
As for the father, well how can the father be sponsoring USFC. What company is this? What is Yoon Tae's name not being used then more often.
