Is MB likely to get a sponsor for the season?......Why can't they "adopt" a smaller ground like the Salien Manna stadium and customize it and have full houses for home matches....any chance?
They got their own ground with a decent capacity, also barasat, vybk are other options. Why they will go for another ground. One thing they and our EB should do is to appoint a good groundsmen to level the ground and maintain a proper playing turf. The turfs of both the tents are very uneven.
They can't host ileague at the maidan...and no matter how good the groundsmen, with the amount of use at maida, it will be difficult to keep the grounds even. They need separate dedicated fields/gym/rehab facilities for training. They can tie up with a school/college for that, but it needs forward thinking and not sure it will ever happen.
Ranti did score against clubs like JDT (away) and Kitchee FC(away). So stop bull crapping about him and that fool of a striker named Robin Singh. And @preetam players like Ranti, Dudu, Chidi does bring people to grounds in Kolkata, the club is from that city and thats what matters for us. Clubs which are bankrupt in their support bases should bring the Anelkas, Chopras, etc. How the hell does a John Johnson, Josh Walker, Sean Rooney bring any value to I-League or Indian football? Apart from being white they are "half the bang for your buck" in our leagues.
Heck, with an attack composed of Chidi and Moga, East Bengal reached AFC Semis while Bengaluru with Chhetri, Rooney and Robin couldnt clear pre-quarters. Dont you guys watch football?
