Yeah, but I heard SRK wants more control of the club which MB is not willing to five. It will be a small share it seems for SRK.

IMG-R has told MB and EB if they want to play ISL they have to play from a different city as there is rule which they made in beginning which says only 1 team from 1 city. now as ATK has protested MB has been told to play from durgapur and EB from Shilaguri as ATK will be lone club from Kolkata. if they don't want to move they will have to play in league 1.

On a lighter note, rather than moving so far following things may be kept in mind to exploit a loophole in the system.

YBK is in N 24 Paraganas district
Howrah stadium is in Howrah district
Rabindra Sarobar is in Kolkata district
Barasat stadium is in N 24 Paraganas district

Although it is not proper loophole as the rule mentions about a city not a district. Well, in that case

YBK is in Salt Lake City
Howrah stadium is in Howrah City
Rabindra Sarobar is in Kolkata City
Barasat stadium is in Barasat City/Town

City/Town considering the fact that they have their own municipal corporations

And now all that lighter note etc. apart,

EB and MB should not move anywhere. Period.

That is not a joke. That is the line the Big Two should take. And force ATK to play out of RSS.

I really don't understand what's the harm in all the three clubs playing at the Salt Lake Stadium! Attendance would go up to 30,000 on average with the derbies at Salt Lake Stadium.

In that case what I have told before, I would like to reiterate again here. I think in the worst case scenario too Kolkata has the capacity to sustain 3 teams and also can get supporters
Kolkata has become so muti ethnic now that in addition to EB MB supporters there are many people who love football
eg. almost all non bengalis of the ciy will support ATK, even Moh. Spt. supporters
Also there is portion of young bengalis who only watch and follow EU football and don't give a damn about EB MB
I think this group will support ATK due to all those glittering and promotion methods

That's right. But having three teams from a city in a 10-12 team league will make it lopsided. In a 16-team league, this would be OK.

@shubham_northeastern, ATK wants to own the city fans and push MB-EB to the fringes. Little do they understand that the city will support the big Two whenever there is a match against them as @Sourabhindia had said.

ATK will not survive if Mohun Bagan and East Bengal start investing in ISL level. Just imagine 2 big clubs with huge fan backing now with some glamour and masala. Who the fuck will support ATK ? Even Euro fanboys would stick to EB or MB then.

That's why they want big 2 away from Kolkata.
