But we would probably go for the type of guys who have stayed in the past in the longer I-League... guys like Akram or Narjian... guys who honestly would not look completely out of place in the ISL. There are also plenty of players in South America, Africa, and even Asia who are just as good as many foreigners currently in the ISL who would stay in India for a full season and on decent wages.
As for the bench, well, players do get injured during the season and sometimes a coach may want to switch things around.
@DX You dont get my point. You are talking about quality but tying it up with quantity..10 foreigners on a budget of 15 crores is 1.5 crore on average..You wont get Bernard Mendy for a full season Also 5 foreigners is not a drop in quality..Most clubs will play an Indian GK..So there will be 5 Indian players in outfield..If you look at Chennai,Kerala,Pune & Delhi now they have the same no. of indians in outfield, as these teams play a foreign GK..So where is the drop in quality?
We've had a similar situation when I-league was formed , if you have 5+ foreigners in a squad then obvs they will use the foreigners in the main positions such as striker,no10 etc and not just that even if when someone gets injured indian strikers will not find chances easy to come by
And @debarghya89, I expect the salary budget will be around 25 Crores in the case of a 10 team league and not 15 Crores. It's already 20 crores with 8 teams.

Also having 5 max in a squad means we have to sacrifice quality.
We aint a top 50 country yet to say we dont need them.
