    Exactly...Currently ISL teams sign 10 foreigners...ISL 1 had 12-14 foreigners a side....if the duration is prolonged to6-7 mnths with 5 foreigners a squad , I can see ISL teams signing the likes of Elano, Borja , Cmovs, Dagnall, Zokora over a longer term . Besides, there were some foreigners in ISL who had 6 month deals in ISL.

     Pirlo and Drogba earns a mere 2million $/ yr in MLS ......ISL clubs are rich enough to offer that if ISL is a season long affair. . If not for the salary cap we would have seen drogba for atk :D

    Pirlo and Drogba get a little more than double that. The salary listed for them is half cause they arrived in MLS in the summer, halfway through the season.

    But who cares? Not every ISL will need a superstar marquee. Guys like Elano, Garcia, Riise, Lucio, Postiga etc are fine for India and maybe take some marquee guys from South America etc.

    Guys like Dagnall meanwhile are currently playing in the lower divisions of England and Scotland. ISL teams can surely pay for them for a full-season. Just look at the other salaries of MLS players, look at the ISL salary cap for foreign players, and tell me ISL teams can't pay those and more for at least 7-8 of them per team.

    Full quote before people get riled up: "We could all see that there’s glamour in the Indian Super League (ISL) and there’s more money into it. There are more foreigners on the field and that makes it easier to play. The I-League is pretty difficult. There are more Indians and sometimes you only have two foreigners on the field. So you have to work hard. Play-wise, I think the fitness in the I-League is very high," revealed a relaxed Martins, after picking up all his accolades on the night, on the topic of the ISL's comparisons to India's top tier domestic competition, considering he's played in both.

    We can thank goal.com for trying to cause a commotion out of nothing.

    @DX ..

    you think Bangalore is not a football HUB !!

    shows what at recent football "fan" you are

    Do some research and look at the former National teams , and how many Bangaloreans played for them

    Also , PSU clubs closing down  , is a good thing , as they hadn't evolved like modern clubs

    Japan & Korea had PSU clubs and they evolved..

    you clearly know little about what you are talking about...and frankly I don't have the time to waste on this...
    I'd rather read what CYBERTRON has to say

    Apart from the designated players in MLS, ALL are gettable by ISL teams for a longer season...Maybe they arent big names, but there are many current international players/ have represented their nation in the past..or are from 2nd tier european leagues...many from south american top divisions as well..

    @gaffertape No offense but Bangalore is not really that much of a hub. It has some history and plenty of players to come out of it but it ain't a "hub" really.

    @red_devil Pretty much. Who cares as long as they are good.

    Lets put it like this, Nigel Reo-Coker is available right now and would do better than any I-League player (fucking Cornell Glenn is scoring at age 35!) and could probably be signed for a full season in India for 7-8 months easy.
