Weird to think how in a city with 5,000,000 people in a state with over 50,000,000 people that people on this forum believe that once this whole thing happens, Atletico de Kolkata's attendance will automatically fall to nothing.
People outside Bengal do not have an iota of understanding of loyalty of fan base here. If it happens that Mb and EB are pulled out and people think that's not the primary league, there is going to be huge protests. I even fear matches of ATK might be showered with various objects flying to the ground. I just hope there is common sense prevailing to football administrators and fans alike.
You cannot kill 2 clubs which has the largest loyal supporter base for the longest time period on Indian football history. Indian football has lived thus far only because of such clubs otherwise long it would have died. Even now the passion is tremendous here and pointing knife to these clubs, us fans not going to take it lightly.
Why is there talks of absolving only I-league teams? Is it because the ISl teams are the puppets of IMGR? I-league teams have provided long service to India. We are talking of putting almost entire I_league teams out of purview of the premier league of India just because of money landering commersialisation of ISL????
if there has to be a decision of who is going to play where, we should take into consideration all criteria and see who deserves the place. Starting with club infrastructure, longevity in Indian football, money/commercialization, AFC criteria etc etc..All criteria's should be considered and taken into account who would be giving log term benefits to Indian football.
Lets take the ball to hear this out and see who succeeds. Just because ISl teams have tina Ambani doesn't mean they get everything FREE...what service have they provided thus far to Indian football?????????
AIFF have history of making plans on papers and failing them big time. I'm skeptical about this one too.

The new proposed league starts from 2017-18...November. So its still one and a half years away. Enough time for ISL teams to chalk out their future and fulfill all the afc criteria needs....a mere "long service" to India cant be considered as a means to be part of the top tier. There are many clubs in Kolkata who have richer history than many existing I league clubs. tollygunge agragami is 70 yr old club. Why not include all of them in top tier and have a 100 team ISL?? "club infrastructure" "money" " commercialization" is laughable in I league (whatever we see is because they have been forced upon by AFC. Has there been a massive improvemnet in infrastructure since the afc criteria was implemented for the I league club?? The answer is plain NO) I league teams boast of youth teams, agreed. But with this roadmap given, even ISL teams know where they are heading and they will be planning accordinlgy and even they know that time to fool around has ended.

Even before this whole shit began the administrators at East Bengal and Mohun Bagan have been fucking the clubs up for years! You guys even got to the point where you wouldn't even listen to your players cause of how frustrated you guys are! You guys have history, you guys have fans! I fucking hate Atletico de Kolkata solely for the fact that they are an example of a team being ran for another team's benefit (Atletico Madrid) and that there is nothing remotely Spanish about Kolkata but you guys have not done anything to benefit Indian football in a long time honestly! So what if a Chelsea fan from London called you fake cause you never supported them before all this money and success came from them? No Indian football fan who supports a European team should be talking about fake fans unless the ISL fans are just there for clicks or whatever but I doubt over 25,000 people a game are going just for that.
