people have been apprehensive about ISL way before it started. Many said who will come to see oldies play etc...we all saw how ISL ended up being massively successful. Now skeptics just keep on posting more querries on how ISL will be sustainable on long term ? Will good foreigners come to play? will fans turn up?  Hopefully answers will be delivered after a year.
And what is with this " fake fan" jibe? I find Chennaiyin and kbfc fans as passionate as any other clubs in India.

Wow looks like everyone taking into the shit that is IMGR.

lets see. AIFF proposed 3 leagues, fine with that. Now why has ISl to be the premier league? Because (according to most here) it is commercially viable and successful (well so far tested ofr only a few months)

I am even fine with this. Now comes the selection criteria for the premier league. Why is it anyone has to believe that all existing ISL franchise should be part of it??? because of financial muscle power or because AIFF has sold all rights to IMGR?

Let there be proper selection criteria as to who will be able to play in the premier league rather than going nuts about which I-league ones should be allowed to play.

Lets see what happens. Selection criteria should be ofcourse based on everything and not just FRANCHISE fee and probably a sister concern of IMGR.

Love how you disliked my post and now talking about something completely different.

Personally I have no fully taken into the shit from IMG-Reliance yet. I just like the roadmap so far and see the potential in it... now they have time to do some more work and implementing and I am willing to wait and see what comes up. Also, all ISL teams have to be part of the league as this merger is not merging to create a new league but literally just making ISL into the top league and taking some new teams... thus the licensing agreements, which last for 10 years for each team, have to be held to. At least that is my understanding.

@red_devil Meh, not exactly super successful but IMO, better than I thought it would be.

I have voiced my concerns and I will always take side for a supporter based club rather than whimsical franchises. If you talk about licensing agreements, I would like to know the agreement and promises meted out to the I-league clubs past these running years. I hope they are met as well.

If there is a proper selection criteria for a premier league in the country most of thiese franchises will fall shit..

and your licensing agreements- looks like we have sold every rights of our football fraternity to IMGR and wait and sit back the ruins that they are going to do

Just now read in Ei Samay that League 1 matches will not be telecast directly by STAR, they will be shown in regional TV channels.

If this is so, then I am sure League 1 will be as important as I-league II today. Nobody would complain though, as they would now have the replacement circus. Personally I think the talk of having 50 clubs in 3 divisions is a hogwash by IMG-R: they just do not care about the lower divisions and would happily allow them to die. Because their existence will only be a big financial drag to themselves.

I can see a lot of closet ISL supporters in a Year or 2 here :)

Seriously why being all defensive? No one is going to fight with you. Seems all of you are like angry towards a wall.

@Deb_Ban Agree. At the very least I would want STAR Sports to at least show one live game a week from the 2nd or 3rd division and/or have a show which shows highlights from the 2nd division at least.
