I dont know what is the relation between KBFC NUFC MCFC DD FCPC and Nita Ambani, that it is being said that ISL is being owned by one family....even majority stakes of ATK is owned by Sanjeev Goenka...is there any incestuous relationship amongst all these owners and Nita we are unaware of? If everything is owned by Reliance then why the fuck are ISL teams so worried about losses? Arent they "fake" owners according to many? Why on earth are Delhi and kbfc willing to offload shares if everything is owned by IMG-R? These one family ownership fundas are some logicless bullshit.
I believe this is overall a good plan/roadmap if implemented to the 'T' by IMG-R and AIFF. They will surely include BFC, EB and MB along with one I-League team from Goa. So overall it might be 12 team ISL(ISL 8 teams + 4 I League team). They will promote few teams in League 1 and make it more pan-India. This will satisfy almost everyone.
Just want to clarify, based on the presentation, it seems ISL will have 12 teams. Currently, only 8 teams are there, so that means they will have to incorporate 4 teams. Will that be done in a single shot or initially 2 teams followed by 2 teams in following year?

This plan will work, Opposition is only from squirt clubs who had power in the past but are negated and rightly so.
The main support for this expansive plan will actually come from upcoming new clubs who will enter the mainstream in a season or two. I can already see atleast 2-3 clubs from Chennai itself who are interested in making it to the national level.
Plan if executed is sustainable for both clubs and players. Am however interested to knw what sort of revenue model are these ppl discussing. how much share is league 1 gonna get from central sponsership or its only the tv revenue?
What about the womens league? Are there clubs who will want to have investment done in the league or the existing top clubs have thier own women's team play in the league?
Is it still gonna be 6+5 rule. Will be happy if its 4+7 but depends on how many quality players are available in the system to support all ISL and league 1 clubs atleast.
I can only see a major boost in player intake for the football system, They have a big boost in terms of employability.
I can also see ISL teams mainly capturing most promising youngsters from the current U-17 squad of NT as well as go for NRI's.

KBFC and NEUFC are shopping around for buyers to stop the nose bleed that is their finances.
DD are so broke they are signing players like Sanjiban Ghosh and Amoes Do whom wasn't even attracting 2nd Division Clubs !
