Ground conditions will not be good. Raining for few days now. Good chance for SC to get 3 points.

  • Mehtab is top of the tackles pile because he runs around making unnecessary tackles. If he just stays in his position, he wouldn't need to make half of that tackles, and hence tactically he is hopeless.

Thoi is the one who stands out, because he is played on the right midfield by Materazzi, and for him to be in that list shows his strengths. Souvik is another who has had a good ISL, but he makes some daft tackles too.

When Mehtab had started his career he was a attacking midfielder and he scored many goals when he was in Mohan Bagan.
But during Morgan tenure in East Bengal Mehtab was a defensive midfielder and a free tackling player who will destroy opponent game plan.If he is busy for tackle in whole game then when he will play in the match? If Mehtab had continue his playing style as a midfielder/attacking midfielder then we would seen him more bright player than what today he is.Mehab had that ability to became another Jo Paul Ancheri in INDIAN football.Bad luck for Mehtab and bad luck for Indian football that club coaches used him  as their requirement and he forgot his natural game.

So I had some time, and I was wondering who were among the best Indian scorers over the past two years. I include the last two seasons of I-League (13-14 & 14-15), the Federation Cups, Durand Cup and any AFC CL/Cup games, as well as the 2014 ISL and the 2015 ISL (so far), and NT games during this period from 2013 until now. Only senior team caps and goals are included.

                                      Matches      Goals
    Sunil Chetri                     85              44
    Balwant Singh              70             24
    Jeje Lalpekhlua            67             12
    Robin Singh                  80             19
    Eugeneson Lyngdoh    69             13
    Semboi Haokip             49             14
    Mohd. Rafi                     62             12

Constantine admitted that Pronoy’s unavailability comes as a “huge setback” to the Team.

“Pronoy has become a valuable member of the National Team and his loss yet again is a huge blow to something which could have been avoided,” Constantine told Indian Football Team, the Official FB page of Indian Football.

“The Medical staff has advised him to undergo treatment and not to rush back too quickly as this can result in a major breakdown in the rehabilitation process.”

“He needs proper guidance. Hurrying him back will jeopardize his career and result in a chronic condition. He will be needed to be monitored by his Club on a regular basis.”
