He has a good reputation in the Middle-East and China. He should probably not have a problem finding a club but yes, he would be the perfect "marquee coach" in ISL.
That is welcome news! The new Delhi coach will finally be Savio Medeira with Fabio Cannavaro serving as the marquee player but for some reason is seen on the sidelines more than Medeira.
I dont see retired players being signed as marquee players in ISL 3...marquees will be excluded from salary cap in ISL 3. So teams will go for better alternatives...except Goa, maybe...Hopefully kbfc will have better signings with new investors now.
The investors will remain the same as last season And i don't think they know that they r sitting on a goldmine Can't see them investing more than last season cuz PVP have cut down on investment , the "owner" even though owns majority shares at KBFC won't spend much from his pocket and muthoot are contract-wise obligated to invest a certain amount every season KBFC's gonna be in a grim situation unless someone takes over ,someone who know how to run it professionally and actually localize the club rather than targeting pan Indian support .
To be honest, if DD shuts or NEUFC shuts or ATK shuts it doesnt really matter. But KBFC is the only thing that Kerala has, its a state with stagerring football history in India. Kerala needs a club, Kerala deserves a club. Someone should really do something about making KBFC work.
FC Kochi, Viva Kerala, KBFC, Kerala Tuskers: do we see a pattern here? There is something wrong in the way they manage clubs in Kerala, that is it. The act of managing a club has to change, otherwise there is no point reinventing the wheel. FCK was phenomenal. Viva initially drew good crowd, but after some
lackluster performances, support dwindled. Now KBFC are letting them down in
a big way. Support is always there, the managements failing every time.
Kerala definitely deserve a club, but the question is: in which league? In a proper league, in a short-haul circus, or in sevens tournaments?
