Stephen Bywater - I don't think there is any infrastructure in India
"I don't think there's any infrastructure over there. For me, it felt like a team (just) gathered together to play in a tournament. It was a good experience, but in terms of the facilities over there, probably two out of the eight clubs in the tournament were okay, while ours weren't the best," he told Burton Mail in a recent interview.
Meh, its an honest comparison. Kerala Blasters was probably the worst organized team in a 2-3 month league. I don't think he expects it to be West Ham or the training ground they have at Burton Albion (only because of the English FA), but something a little better which hopefully will change within a few years.
Also, Goosens only played 4 games in ISL FFS... and he is a flop? Bitch, John did not even have a chance to show he was a flop even if he wanted to. He is like a cult figure for FC Pune City with how he was playing before the injury and then what happened during the injury.
Keep hearing good things from Chicago Fire about him, no doubt they will sign him. Happy for him.
"It was like training on a swamp, if I'm honest. To go from there to St George's Park, I'm very grateful for everything that happens here. There was a disco going on, fireworks going off, and it was a party. We had 70,000 of our own fans at the stadium for home games and it was incredible. There's more than a billion people in India, so whether it's popular because it's football or because it's something to do, you don't know," he remarked.
