I don't think they sacrificed afc cup. Their overconfidence got them 

in previous afc cup matches also they played with half strength team and succeeded. So may be mr Sen wanted to do something great with complete Indian line up, which backfired.

The coach is not a fool to play his first XI in such a tight schedule. AIFF needs to fix this first. In any case we will be playing AFC Cup next year also.

How is Mohun Bagan place guaranteed in next year AFC Cup ???

1) If they win this year I-League.
2) If they win Federation Cup.
3) If Aizawl FC is not allowed to participate in AFC Cup.

Uncertainity is still there.
