    Bang on @debarghya89. This was always never going to be an easy year for Bengaluru FC, mistakes were going to happen, and a transition period is occurring. People are just taking advantage of a small blip and using it against them. They started the season well and now are struggling, how will Roca react? Lets see. Westwood had this happen to him as well.

    @Soccerlover Yes, cause one weird moment defines a player for the rest of their career. That kind of mentality sees guys like Gurpreet Singh Sandhu getting pushed into the lower division of Kolkata football after a shitty moment of concentration against Prayag United
  • Disagree. With ISL on, how many clubs are doing pre-season these days? More specifically pls define pre-season period for Indian Clubs in the current context. How many clubs do pre season these days, barring Kolkata Clubs who plays CFL and have an eye for I-League? Most teams doesn't even know, whether they would indeed have their teams for the year, or would pull out!

    Also, whats the point in contracting an overseas player for full year, when the football calender is for only 4/5 months?

    If ISL continues till mid Dec, and I-League starts after abt 2 weeks, is that the period to judge a player during that interim period - the answer is no.

    It's not just Roby Norales..its all BFC signings that are being questioned.

    Word is they might bring back Reddy to consult on signings, as he too will be having payment issues with Delhi Dynamos righy now.

  • @Soccerlover  That is the point, That with ISL there is no time for pre-season. And it affects all the teams. Clubs have not enough time to judge a player or build team combinations. CFL also doesn't help now as most of the team and foreigners join after ISL.

    But it doesn't mean we are poor as every one trying to portrait. It is a transition period. Few unlike BFC signings... We lost away 3 games (2-1). Rough patch ...

    Still by far BFC is the best and will be Best. Hold your horses.  Race is still on !!!

    It might take few more years to conduct trials and sign players when the pool is larger. Until we have unified league, always we will puzzled like this.

    @debarghya89
    The transfer deadline is Jan 31st across certain European  leagues.

    I-LEAGUE  deadline for registering a player is February 15th

    Any free agents can be signed after a transfer deadline.

    Technically...if for example Frank Lamapard ad a free agent now wants to sign for BFC on 16th February...they CAN sign a contract with him , but he cannot register to play in the I-league for them this season.

    Anyone who had seen Roby Norales profile would have called him a good signing
    He was 2nd highest goalscorer in Honduran league and was part of Honduras NT in their recent games

    BFC's start in 2014/15 season wasnt good too but they managed to pull themselves up and finished 2nd. We'll juat have to wait For MB and EB to falter and squander the lead.
