bad or not, everyone here will admit that fsdl and aiff administrators and star sports administrators have collectively tried their level best to shut down i league by cleverly mismanaging i-league (such as tricky schedules, making clubs to withdraw from league, no telecasts, no tv revenue shared with club etc etc)
That is what happens when you literally add a clause that says you can create your own fucking league... obviously they will care more about that. AIFF fucked up.
That clause was intentional, and with knowledge from both the parties. IMGR had this hidden agenda (in fact THIS was the main reason of their foray into Indian football), AIFF's (read PP's) hand was properly greased to overlook that 'minor and inconsequential' clause.
Not sure whether ILeague was a superior product..just because ISL asks for Franchisee fees or provides glamour to the sport makes it inferior to earlier model...End of the day good players need to come up to represent the country..Most of our top talents also want to play in ISL (including our U17 boys)..
