They play against Equador which is again at a very high altitude I think. They do struggle in these away games

Who? AIFF? The same idiots who arranged our home match against Bangladesh in Kolkata, when we could exploit our climatic diversity and present them some alien conditions.

same climate, topography, and even language.

for bangladesh, hosting in coastal regions like kerala, tamil nadu, orissa, mumbai, vizag  etc won't work as they are accustomed to humidic conditions and moderate climate. not sure how the condions are inside peninsular regions like bengaluru, hyderabdad, coimbatore etc.

we should host them in some northern india where the climate is extreme cold/hot like rajasthan, delhi, punjab, j & k.

Our players only will struggle after 30 mins! Our NT players dont play more than 20 matches a year, dont expect they can utilize all these so called home advantages.

“This stadium is not a multi-purpose stadium and track and field athletes should be priority,” maintained A. Rajavelu, Hon. Secretary, KAA. “With permission from DYES, JSW can use the stadium on match-day and one day before that. But on other days, we should have unrestricted access.”
“In the past, they [JSW] have created problems by not allowing us to step on the grass and such. This is not acceptable to us. Where will we practise our field events?”

anyways. good riddance. bfc should use the other "proper" football stadium where the stadium will look full and good on TV. the only downside is KBFC fans can't be accomodated in that :D during BFC vs KBFC matches.

original plan of BFC was to redevelop the BFS and use it as home ground but KFA politics took the deal out of BFC's hand at the last moment. hence BFC moved to Kanteerava. anyway BFC will get the Kanteerava back by next ISL season.
