9 match unbeaten stretch, solid in defense, 20+ goals scored by Indian players, unfair to say EB wasn't a deserving champion side. However CCFC was a notch better. A lack of CAM did us in IMO!
Whatever one may think, this was a cracker of a season. Last year was complex, intriguing but also of a much lower quality. This season has seen quality meet excitement.
All credit goes to CCFC! They've been really impressive. Never knew Chennai had this many talented local lads!
Whatever EB did, with a null bench strength was way beyond imagination! A season without any ligament, calf muscle or hamstring injuries; along with the fact that most of the wins have been comebacks, tells a lot about the work been put into the team.
@goalkeepar @DEFENCE123 I guess there'll be no further accusations from your side. I believe, it's the time for you guys to give back all the players across the country their due respects. I demand an apology letter, posted on this forum, addressed to all the officials, the players and the coaching staffs associated with the I League
Congratulations CCFC... Well deserved champions.. Never thought Spanish 3rd or Spanish 4th division players will be so good.. .. adding to that adjusting to Indian climate...
EB, despite losing points against CCFC.. They are good through-out the season and have done better than 2013-14 season ... hope they will retain most of their players..
We were not solid in defence during the entire season. We have leaked in goals in crucial matches. Chullova and Manoj Mohammed have been inconsistent. Chullova was excellent in some of the matches--he hardly allowed Sony Norde to touch the ball during the derby but scored an own-goal in the match against RKFC. IMO, if Alejandro had got the entire team during the beginning of the season, i.e. before CL, this team would have fared much better.
Most heartening has been the improvement of youngsters like Joby, Samad et al, the passing football displayed in the latter half of the season and particularly, the fitness of the players

In any case EB does not deserve to be champs of this season
