I would also add Dempo and Salgoacar were smart. They bought a club then managed to sell it when ISL was hot.
Clubs these days struggle to get sponsors. They run on huge loses and overpay players and invest nothing on youth system.
Nobody wants a longer league, they are happy playing 18 games in 4 months and go off because operational cost for a 7-9 month league would be huge and they can't lose more money.
with poor economy and corona scare, they might make it even shorter this time. Like one venue thing if they are contemplating playing behind closed doors.
@goalkeepar & Chiranjit ojha in twitter said about ccfc acquiring cfc, a month ago
Now tat city group has invested FCBASEL owners will be able to convince their fans for enhanced investment..
So ccfc might bring FCBASEL reserve players next season to play along with current squad & katsumi.. Akbar may remain as coach & hope FCBASEL foreigners respect him..
CFC might take their entire squad to gujarat.. D Ganesh might join on loan
@mohammed_87hassan can throw more light on this acquisition, if his contacts know it
Isl can become 13 with punjab, gujarat & EB joining.. 24 matches , plus 2 in playoff & 1 in super cup will meet 27 match criteria of afc
Reliance got to know there is no money in the indian football. They're offloading to ileague clubs when all the clubs owned by ileague clubs. By then reliance contract is over, we are back to square one, no reliance No isl. Only I-league and AIFF left.
Vignesh Dakshinamurthy the only isl player from Bengaluru.... He says that despite talent in Bengaluru, they are not given an opportunity to play.... BFC B team in ilgue 2 nor the BFC U18 in Aiff elite league too is full of non-local talent.... Its fine if ur first team in top division has the best players from the country, but it is not acceptable in ur academy or reserve teams .. (They won't allow this to happen in England).....
The problem is they have a fan club run by an event manager, who is more interested in organising the crowd in to groups, singing, dancing , clapping etc & make it a merry go event in the stadium and totally not interested in development of football nor question the policies of the club... Any normal loyal fans of a football club will demand local players in academy or b team...
Same with Chennayinfc where the Supermachans fan club is run by an event management company, which takes care of the twitter account (admin) of abhishek Bachan as well.... They are lucky to get a real fan club called Bstand blues, who are not encouraged by the management coz they question poor recruitment & non-performance ....
There is another guy Shankar Sampingraj from Kolar, Karnataka playing for Hyd FC & played for Bfc before,,,,,,
The club that is supposed to develop football in the region, works completely on non-local players from other states.... There is an active Bangalore Super Division happening every year with as many as 10 to 12 clubs , with relegation to junior division & other levels.... But Naushad Moosha is not interested,,,,,
Mihir Vasdeva in a recent interview to Praful Patel asked this question on why local talent is not being developed by football clubs & just go & import players even for Junior levels..... Praful Patel somehow dodged that question,,,,
