I am not critizing the true fans of kolkata. I am critizing those stupid hooligans and the idiot officials who donot take actions against them. Such incidents should be dealt strictly and we fans(true fans) need to take some countermeasure so that new fans of both gender can come to the stadium with some peace in their mind. With the hooligans removed players can play to their full potential and will not fear that they might be attacked just because they played better than their opposition.

In this case, I totally agree with you. These elements have to be removed. In Europe, fifa would have banned EB because it is responsibility of the host to ensure the security. Really a shameful act.

    When alberto
colaco become gen sec of aiff,
    every attempt was done to
    thwart kolkata teams. In every
    season, kolkata teams got
    roughest deal from the referee,
so that goan team can become
    champions. I remember
    Mohunbagan's last NFL
    championship year. referee
    awarded some unprecedented
bad decision against MB, so that
    Churchill Brothers could become
champion by a draw in the
    homeground. I remember that is
the only time I supported MB, in
spite of my reservation for them.
I was delighted that with a
broken team, they went on to lift
the NFL title by beating CB 3-1.
My Say: Hahaha!! This is news to me. I always thougt Alberto was a man of Integrity. But i cant change my opinions based on your fictitious assumption. Anyway the people who shot missile at Kalu i suppose was a hooligan of EB. I only hope this sort of things are not repeated. I too love EB but lately their motto is just to win against MB & some other Indian teams. I only wish they win against foreign teams.

oh come on!! don't bring on the same topic again. When a team is fielded for a match, it always looks for a win. That's the nature of football. The same is here also, when east bengal plays a match it always, plays it to win. But we were just not good enough for our oppositions like chonburi or persipura. Why don't you understand this simple logic!

Interestingly, you will find everyone as a "man of integrity" when the decisions going in your favor. So please do not change opinion but stop your moral police-work. Ask anyone from Bengal and he will have something to say about the dirty politics played by the Goan lobby. How do you know what are the targets of EB? EB defeated more foreign teams than we care to remember, actually it is the most successful Indian team against foreign outfits. Your assumption is solely based on performance of goan teams in the last 5 years which hardly matters for a more than 90 years old club. Due to some internal reasons Calcutta clubs could not recruit quality foreigners like goan clubs, and that is why it has shown a bad result. Open your eyes and stop pretending goan football somewhat revolutionized anything. The difference was just the presence of some good quality foreigners. This year EB recruited 3 super quality players and we started winning again.

And also goan honeymoon is going to be over from this year. Dempo players like beto, mahesh, debabrata, subhasis are going to other clubs. Colaco is getting a standby India coaching job. CB players like roberts, paite, charan rai are leaving. Also Kayne vincent will probably leave. In all likelihood it would be harder for the goan football.

It appears as if EB fans are jealous of the success of Goan clubs. I dont mind a couple of Goan footballers & coaches leaving Goan soil for greener pastures. They have played their part in the development of Goan football. There is a huge pool of footballers to choose from in Goa. Vasco has just shown what Goa is capable of doing. My major concern is EB. They are most likely to loose their upcoming matches against Salgaoncar & CB. Mark my words they are going to loose & with that the end of the dream of winning i-league 2011. I sincerely want EB shine but it is not going to happen this season as for their Goan matches they wont have crowd support & most of all they wont have their hooligans throwing missiles on opposition teams. Maybe next year EB can dream of winning the i-league.

Ha ha ha. In Bengali we have a saying, "shokuner abhisape goru more na". That goes like " A cow won't die just because a vulture want that". I saw some your post in this forum, therefore you can cut the total craps like "I sincerely want EB to shine", "I want USFC to win" safely, becayse you do not want that. What are you trying prove by lying? You already marked yourself as a person who prefers provincialism and you are not making fool of us for a second.

If East Bengal could not play better than salgaokar on that day, it will loose. It is as simple as that. we butt-kicked Dempo twice in this year, we butt kicked your beloved salgaokar and CB. We would like to do some serious butt kicking in goa albeit we won't have our full team. Be prepared, we are going to lift the league whatever happens.
One good suggestion; mind about your own team. You do not have to worry about us. you are behaving like a kid who losses in one game than says "ok, my brother will beat you in the next game". If you are a true sports lover, accept when you loose.

and now you are demanding that beto, vincent, charan rai, roberts, debabrata roy, subhasis as goan players? Man... you need some serious fact checking. soft goan players will never last in kolkata. No one other than alvito become indispensable in a kolkata outfit.

can you plz elaborate, what sort of success??
  • imsouravimsourav kolkata659 Points
If you think goan clubs are successfull then just check east bengal's trophy cabinet. And You'll find out, the total amount of trophies won by all goan clubs in all tournaments or leagues is lesser than ours. Suprised!! Hmm.. You better be. Come out of your fantasy world mate
