AIFF has a decision to make in the coming days. Whether to send the strongest team to SAFF Cup or not.
U23 qualifiers are coming, but we are currently 6th in Pot 1 for Asian Cup qualifiers and the draw may take October rankings. In SAFF Cup, we will be up against weaker teams (as per ranking) and we can't afford to lose any match. A top earns very little points when they beat a bottom team, but will lose a lot of it loses.
So AIFF has to take a decision - U23 Asian Cup where there's very little chance to qualify or Pot 1 in Asian Qualifiers.
