CFL title now in EB sight after DHFC's pullout
Diamond Harbour FC (DHFC) have decided to pull out of the ongoing CFL Super Six championship round, virtually handing East Bengal FC the title.
The I-League 3 champions are slated to face East Bengal in Barrackpore on Monday (Oct 14), but DHFC club secretary Manas Bhattacharya said that it’s impossible for them to play match a day after the puja vacation.
East Bengal are leading DHFC by 4 points after the IFA disciplinary committee committee decided to award the red-and-gold brigade full points from their 2-2 draw against Mohammedan SC, who were found guilty of not playing with mandatory 4 Bengal players.
