Which seems good enough so far. How many stadiums do we need? The UAE is using 6 stadiums, Mexico used 7, and Nigeria used 8 so I am guessing we can assume we will need around 6-8 stadiums ready for 2017.

So far we have the following:
    - Salt Lake Stadium (120,000)
    - Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Delhi (60,000)
    - Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Chennai (60,000)
    - Fatorda Stadium (24,000 [seating])
    - Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium (30,000)
    - Bangalore Football Stadium (20,000-40,000)
    - Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Kerala (60,000)
    - Kozhikode Municipal Corporation Stadium (53,000)
    - Yashwant Stadium (25,000)

So we have enough stadiums but the question is if we can get 6-8 ready for 2017. Also training facilities, hotels etc need to be considered as well.

Ya, I mean the chance it would be selected is probably 0% but I thought I put it out there.

Its not about having more stadiums. Its about having stadiums with quality pitches, facilities, visitor amenities, etc. Apart from JSW stadium, Fatorda Stadium, JLN delhi, JLN chennai, I dont think we have quality stadiums. Other stadiums we have are so basic.

@preetam Salt Lake stadium is no good. I mean just look at the pitch, its in such a bad condition. Looks like a ping pong ball is being used. Add to that pathetic visitor amenities( washrooms, gallery, parking,etc.). Even the dressing rooms are average. Lots of work needs to be done to restore this stadium to its past glory. Only advantage FIFA has said with this stadium is that its massive and has lots of space to have other activities. Once it is renovated to world class standard then maybe final will be hosted there. Lets hope for best. All everyone wants is good infra.
