If you are gonna keep air india in top division then you cant deny ONGC from keeping their wish to play in top flight alive.....
the only option available here is a possible ask from aiff to make them change their base to some other city other than mumbai.....as i dont see anyone turning out for ongc matches when you have air india, who got some history of keeping mumbai flag in national league and mumbai fc probably the most likely team to get best fan base among all...these two teams does possess some hope of attracting fan base but not sure about ONGC may be they should move to delhi or gujarat or somewhere and name themseles as delhi oilmen or something
If ONGC wants to be near Mumbai, Kolhapur is a great option.. in fact in Kolhapur you might get better viwership... Kolhapur as I hear is a traditional football following place in Maharashtra...
However, Kolhapur 3pm matches are really difficult to play

yea kolhapur get better following of matches than what mumbai gets.....and they got kailesh patil who i think hails from kolhapur which might just help their cause to attract more fans as well

But much like HAL, they wont promote it there... meaning all you can do is have cheap posters stuck.." Son of Kolhapur..... watch him in action...be there at..... tickets only 10, 20, 30 rs. .....
But thats not gonna happen..such promotion is hardly costly but more focussed towards the kind of crown that might be targeted
I would rather them move to Nagpur. Of course though I am only basing this off that one game last November in the Nagpur Prem League Final but that stadium does have floodlights. But Rudra is right. Will ONGC market wherever they go.
ONGC was asked to move to Delhi but unfortunately they got relegated next season, but now with AIFF president being Heavy Industries Minister(You know what I mean) there is huge possibility of ONGC moving to Delhi next season.
