@joy. Thats what has kept football alive in India. Without Goa - Bengal rivalry, football would be finished. The others are just fillers. Maybe Maharashtra is also slowly entering the fold.

Why not! Even though kolkata clubs haven won I-league but stil kolkata clubs are the bench mark of sucsses in Indian Football.
If u can beat kolkata clubs then u must be good!!!

The reason we are saying Mohammedan should come up is because they provide fans (apparently), and a great history which expands all over India. Plus they are showing ambition by signing players who are proven in the I-League in the past. Plus most likely Prayag United will move out of Kolkata while Pailan should move out.
Kolkata should eventually end at 3 clubs. Mohun Bagan, East Bengal, and Mohammedan. Prayag United can have either Siliguri or Kalyani. Pailan Arrows need to create their own identity. It cant be Kolkata because, as seen from there home matches, they dont get anyone in the stadium and it can not be good for the moral of the Pailan Arrows players as well.
Goa is a small state in India. In fact 4 clubs is already over-expanding the amount of clubs that should be in Goa. It is even made more complex by the fact that none of the clubs are located in the town that the best stadium in the state is located in. I still vote for one of the clubs changing to "South Goa FC" but whatever.
Vasco SC should only come up if another Goan club is relegated. Goa already averages around 6,000-8,000 a game and I dont see it extending 15,000 in the future really unless football gets really big (to far in the future). A fifth club is not what they need at this moment. Focus on the clubs you guys already have.

Secondly if at all there should be a club from Goa it is Vasco. They can easily draw crowds of 15K plus. Vasco is the most supported club in Goa followed by Salgaocar, Dempo, Churchill n Sporting in order.
And why this Kolaveri di about small population. Many clubs in Asia have small stadiums of 3-5K. Ain't these clubs surviving with a small attendence.
Thirdly, very often Goa is compared to Kolkata. One is a state(though small) and the other is a city. So we can say that Vasco and Salgaocar are from Vasco City. Churchill from Margao city and Dempo and Sporting from Panjim City. So thete are only 2 clubs in one city.
Now I notice that there is only one club from my Margao City. So hoping that Margao FC make it to I-League next year after Vasco does it this year.
Also regarding no club being close to Fatorda. Let me tell you that CB is only 5 km from fatorda. So literally they can call fatorda home.
