subrata knows better than ourselves ....he is the person to decide..so let it be...let him go and check where he stands...apart from subrata we do hav some gud GK in india who can make to NT...so if he warms the bench in austria or germany..it will open doors for othen...infact i would love to see someone challenging chhetri for the starting spot so that sunil can't be relax...may be vineeth or jeje can cum up...

Subrata is really ruining his career. Right now, he is not playing well and since his fall from grace from Prayag, needs to learn that every football has the "dream of Europe"... and what does he have to bring? Goalkeepers have limited spots. Other positions have a slightly better chance. <div><br></div><div>He just needs to lower his standards and work on his skill. Like I said, he's currently crap. But he can build his confidence and his talant once more by staying at the I-League. Let's face it... what European (2-4 div) team is going to make an Indian goalkeeper their 1st in the XI any time soon? Maybe... maybe.</div><div><br></div><div>I just wish him the best of luck. I hope he realizes he still has talant and I hate for him to see it go to waste by warming the bench every weekend.</div><div><br></div><div>Goal.com says Subrata is now a free agent: <a href="http://www.goal.com/en-india/news/1064/i-league/2013/05/02/3946692/our-budget-might-be-reduced-next-season-prayag-uniteds-nabab?ICID=OP"; style="font-size: 10pt;">http://www.goal.com/en-india/news/1064/i-league/2013/05/02/3946692/our-budget-might-be-reduced-next-season-prayag-uniteds-nabab?ICID=OP</a></div><div><br></div><div>However Prayag United's website and wiki still have him on there. I expect that to change soon... </div>
  • I think Nabab meant for after the last game on 11 May. Usually, even with one year contracts, they last till the very end of the season. So he is not a free agent yet but will be soon.

I swear... if he goes to a Euro club only to warm the bench... he will regret it.

<br><div><br></div><div>and if he does, he better have learned his lesson. Now the question is... after his eventual return... who would take him?</div>
  • He will probably join Mohun Bagan (who look set to have a long-season there), Churchill Brothers (replacement for Nandy?), or one of the new corporate clubs.<div><br></div><div>So you can expect his stock to stay high in India, just abroad it is zero.</div>

Lets hope for the best.I hope he does well in Europe.Being a Keeper he has the time to try his luck abroad and if things don't work out for him he can always come back to India.<br><br><br>
