Goal keeper's in Germany are fucking awesome, there is no need of foreign ones unless they are super talented. For example Dortmund goalkeeper Weidefeller has never represented Germany, yes 'never' you heard it !<br>

<br><div><br></div><div>yea we know that they got excellent quality keepers but you never know with the increasing fan base of bundesliga in asia... one of those clubs might just take one of national team star and train him...</div><div><br></div><div>as far as i am concerned, subrata warming bench on bundesliga(may be 2nd/3rd tier) is much better than warming bench of prayag united</div>

But playing at PFC would be a far better choice if you ask me,or else he'll end up wasting time in Europe just like chettri.<br>

<br><div><br></div><div>yea i also would love him playing regularly in i-league rather than warming bench...</div><div>but till the day he keeps his heart pumping to go for europe he better go there and understand reality...</div><div><br></div><div>and i feel his interest to go to europe is affecting his career in club football... so better try and understand rather than half minded effort for an i-league club</div>

I said that Wolfsburg is a distant dream dream  for him whereas Leipzig is a likely destination in comparison to Wolfsburg as Diego Benaglio is already at Wolfburg(Swiss international keeper) <br><br>Moreover if he signs for Leipzig, and based on how quickly he grows and plays he can try for better leagues or better clubs.<br><br>I said he is not ready for Wolfsburg at this point of time.<br><br><br>

<br><br>Bro Wolfsburg for Indian players bole tho you should assume it as second team directly,so talking about replacing Deigo Benlagio doesn't make any sense here.<br><br>Either team he will end up in 4 tier of Germany. <br>

Haha, sahi bol rahe ho(i was just trying to prove the actual).<br>
  • So... Subrata Pal is again ruining his career. Fine, he wants to go to Europe, he has that dream. Every god damn footballer outside of Europe has that dream, Pal is not unique and if that is what is effecting his club career then he needs a reality check.<div><br></div><div>Right now all Red Bull and Wolfsburg (B) want from him is him, his image, what he can bring to both those clubs in sponsorships and marketing in India. They do not care about his ability to play. They probably just assume that he is decent based on some random recommendations from scouts (who probably have never seen an I-League match ever), and based on his AFC Asian Cup (where he is overrated). In reality he has been shit. Has lost his place at Prayag United to a guy who last season (2011-12) some people called shit at Bagan. How can a guy who is supposedly good enough for the 4th tier of German football lose his spot to another keeper like Sangram.</div><div><br></div><div>Currently if I was Subrata I would realize this, go to train with these clubs, and then come back to India, sign with an I-League clubs, and work to cement a #1 spot and actually play good. Gain some confidence, gain a better rep, and maybe some trials based on performance and market power instead of just market power. It is possible but he needs to lower his standards.</div>

Mate, u think if they are calling him for trials wouldn't they have watched his I-league performances. They are as shrewd as anybody can be.It was not the Indian press and pundits who praised him but the foreign press and pundits who named him "Spiderman" and stuff and it wasn't as if they did something wrong. It was for everyone to see.He stopped India losing from double digit scores against both KOREA and AUSTRALIA single handedly.<br><br>What you are doing here is ignoring or neglecting his great saves/performance and highlighting his poor performances.<br><br>If Sangram or any body else is better than him than why aren't those players getting trial calls from abroad. If Sangram has been that shit than why has he been capped by India and that too almost 20 times(considering India play less matches) <br><br>Every club wants to establish a market base so whats wrong with it.<br><br>When David De Gea started everybody thought wow what a bad keeper(making some blunders, catching errors) they have signed but 1 year down the line he has proven himself to be one of the finest buys and comparsions with the likes of legends(Peter Schmeichel) have started.<br><br>I agree that his form has decreased but does that mean he can't regain it?<br><br>I am not saying that he is EPL or Bundesliga  material and he knows it too but still 3-4 tier(both the leagues) he can try out at least.I am not saying that he will make it for sure but he can make it<br>
  • I am not neglecting anything. Re-read my past posts, he had an okay Asian Cup but not the best by far. The reason these foreign pundits are rating him so high is because he is Indian. Had he been Korean or Australian he would have never gotten that praise because many of the goals he let in at the same time where so bad and should have been saved.<div><br></div><div>As for Sangram, I do not know why he is not getting a call-up but I know why he is not getting a trial. Because he has no market value. No one knows him. Everyone knows Subrata. And going back to being called-up, that is like argueing for Gouramangi because he was called up or Sushil Singh despite both of them being shit.</div><div><br></div><div>I have no problem with starting a market base but I do not want it to be at the expense of an Indian player, specially an international. Subrata would not start in the German 4th tier, you can give me all this bullshit about "giving him a chance" but if I do then he will end up on the bench and unheard of and eventually back in the I-League just in time for the 2nd half of the season like Chhetri (who is a much better footballer in terms of value than Subrata). </div><div><br></div><div>As for your comparision. David De Gea was young and getting used to the conditions. If he was English then those who said he was bad would not talk. And it was really for half the season and then he rose to prominance. And before that he was a beast at Atletico, dominating almost every match in goal for them. He had a little trouble to begin here and that is it. In Subrata's case this has been going on for years. Not just this season but with Pune as well he was shit and let in some of the most cheesy goals I have ever seen. Abhra Mondal is easily the better keeper.</div><div><br></div><div>Again, I will say it, he is not good enough. Fact.</div>
