Its still not clear to me what good would having SEBI logo on EB website do to Saradha Chit Fund Scam. My points are:<div><br></div><div>1. Most of the depositors were from rural bengal who would never in their dreams visit EB website.</div><div>2. They would hardly be impressed with SEBI logo as all they care about is Saradha group, I bet 90% of them dont know what SEBI is.</div><div>3. East Bengal even though endorsed SEBI on their site, they never endorsed Saradha in my knowledge.</div><div><br></div><div>So I really dont know what is it all about!</div>

<br><div><br></div><div>Think more B2B than B2C. Think how flaunting SEBI connections can help you get sponsorships from chit fund owners, which is what Nitu did with Sarada. East Bengal did endorse Sarada on their jerseys at one point of time since Sarada was one of their sponsors.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>Totally offtopic but also follow the developments going on with Prayag, they have failed a couple AFC licensing criteria deadlines if you are aware of what I mean. Prayag also started off as a chit fund and then diversified into other businesses. </div>
In defence of Prayag I would say, being a chit fund company itself is not a crime, at least in India. In Kerala and Tamil Nadu it is an organised form of doing business. In Kerala alone there are thousands of Chit Fund organisations working successfully for years. So unless Prayag is caught misusing people's money to run Ponzi scheme, they r not in trouble.
