Too much should not be read into the visit of the Schalke and Dortmund officials to EB. The officials had come to Kolkata to join the Bengal Business Summit. They had heard of East Bengal and had come to the club to look at the infrastructure of the club. Nitu Sarkar has clarified that this was simply a courtesy visit. Only time could tell whether a tie-up with these clubs would happen in future. There had been no discussions yet on any of these two clubs or some reputed footballer from these clubs being invited during the centenary celebrations. Such talks, of course, could be held later.
@goalkeepar Ah, the proper club 'Mohun Bagan' which doesn't have even a cafeteria or a toilet...Meanwhile ATK practice pitch is much better than real pitch of MB stadium
Should a club which hopes to win the I-League by allowing AIFF and IMGR to rig their opponent's matches (knowingly or unknowingly) be called a proper club? @goalkeepar ?
@DEFENCE123 ATK has a practice pitch ? They are using Salt lake practice ground, they don't even have a office they run from goikas company office, MB has there own ten, ground etc.. ATK has nothing. @thebeautifulgame yes EB is a proper club and not franchise owned by FSDL and operated by highest bidders. Rigging of league by aiff has nothing to do with EB being is proper club.
