last time most of the I league teams used the tournament for giving rest to the big players and giving chances to the reserves.same will be happening this time too.I fear.
hope atleast Eagles and Malabar Utd get a chance to show their quality
I would understand if Mohammedan or any other non I-League 1st Division side send there first team squad but if an I-League team sends there first team then that is wrong. 1) They already have a 26 game season 2) They play in IFA, Fed, and Durand Cups which adds at least 5-10 games so that is like a 36 game season. 4) The reserves and youth never get playing time in I-League so play them in a cup which is not national (has all I-League teams).
Plus the tournament won't be a failure if first team players come because at this moment Kerala football could use any players from I-League. Even reserves would help them
unfortunately...but i wud have loved to see bhutia & co. in kozhikode but the shifting of venue is a problem for kannur people
