Bert Vogts is coach of Azerbaijan!!!!

Hes been crap with them though. 9 wins, 10 losses, and 23 losses. Obviously the Azerbaijan Fed thought that if they ONLY get a german coach then they would be a European superpower

But he is non just a german coach, he has very good record. But u are right, he has been dissapointing for them...but given the experience these players/coach has, we can be in trouble!
on a positive note, we would be playing against a good opposition, just what we need before the challenge cup

True mate. Considering what Federation Azerbaijan play in its no wonder there record is shit. India has a big task ahead of them. Same with Oman.

on anyday these encounters with oman and azerbaijan is gonna be more crucial for the development of our team than the saff cups ..and i hope we get to gain all important exposure and if possible some fifa points too...a draw/win here or there is definitely gonna be a great boost to india's campaign in challenge cup..
• when was the last time we played a UEFA nation? I hven't even seen.

I think the Azerbaijan match will matter most because that is more closer to the FIFA match day which is February 29th.

Either way both games are crucial and if we win both games or get one win and one draw and win the Challenge Cup then we could be 130 in the FIFA rankings by April.

i guess it would be too much to ask for as this would mean our players got to be much more fitter mentally and physically to do it...
may be a target of top 145 would be achievable with a draw and minimum of final appearence

ya that would be good as well. As long as we get past the 150 mark I am happy.

Road to beat the USA is on. We need to rank 32 in FIFA for mission accomplished

This has to be the best friendly match in years, playing an European opposition is amazing,I'm not sure about a positive result but definitely its not impossible.

I would rate Azerbaijan to Iran B team.

Another drubbing on cards?
• Yes..Now I am expecting another drubbing...but again its better to be drubbed against good opponents rather than playing weak team as we had been doing during the Bob era...We havent improved a bit even on the Asian scale..I am really disappointed to say the least
