My prediction would be India 0 - 6 Azerbaijan...Cant expect them to win anythn under that stupid coach n his strategies..he sucks
Their goalkeeper has excellent reflexes and their mid field is brilliant. But their defense is shabby, but against India it might be sufficient. And for their forwards, they are good in creating chances, it is just a matter of fact that some of them would go in.
Hence my verdict, another thrashing 5-0.
Im more of a 7-0 or 7-1 person. We are coming off losing 5-1 to Oman, a team who I bet the players thought was going to be easy. And I remember watching Azerbaijan lose to Russia 3-1!!! If they can only lose to Russia 3-1 then imagine what playing India will be like!
Would be 7-0 if samir naik and anwar plays. I was more hoping that defense would formed by nirmal, gourmangi, arnab/raju, gurjinder. If nimral is still injured, i suppose arnab can play in there. As per midfield, peirara should be replace by vashum on right flank and nabi on left flank. ralte(if he is fit)/raja(should be sure inclusion for AFC challenge cup, hence tryout ratle in that position) attacking midfield role and locus/adil as holding midfielder.
My Best XI
Karanjit
-Naoba
Gouramangi
Khelemba----Gurjinder---
-Vashum
Baldeep
Jewel
Nabi
Sushil
Abranches
Well this could have been the best possible line-up for India, atleast scorelines would not be above 4 against these teams. Also looking at Oman,Azerbaijan beating them or drawing them seems to be a dream with current players and coach not to forget.
Some of them want India in World Cup 2018 but sorry guys you have gone nuts to be frank, first lets win the challenge Cup.

That's the precise reason, a respectable scoreline against would have been encouraging ( I am not talking about winning ). Specially being the fact, there is North Korea which as strong as Oman and Azerbaijan, a respectable score against the above team would have given the players confidence going into AFC challenge Cup. Now, I wonder what will be the confidence of the newcomers going into such a important tournament, after suffering such a huge loss.
I believe if we tighten up our game and replace samir, anwar and anthony then we can loose by 3-0..the problem is we cant just expect the youngsters to come firing up immediately without any experience..give them some time to settle down and soon this tide will change
The players need to believe in themselves and give more than their 100 % each time they put on the Blue Jersey

Still though, remember who the coach is. I had some faith in him after that interview he did last month but after yesterday, I hope the AIFF are starting a shortlist for the next coach.

This is only going to be happen when current contract of Savio gets over in July(I guess !!!). Ideally they should have looked for one after the SAFF itself.

Many youngsters included.
