AG's Office crowned the State Club Championship 2012 after beating SBT in shootout. great come back for AG's to Kerala Football, A break of 30 years and now back with a bang. kudos to coach TV Gopalakrishnan.
And sad days for SBT. Three finals in a year yet no title. To be fair they are the best club Kerala have now.
Office team beating professional clubs are not so good to watch, but stating the fact that ,Office teams are playing with zero foreign legs, is so good for our youngsters.

Its actually brilliant. Kerala football is rebuilding itself. We should not rush its early progress by forcing changes and all that. I would rather Kerala football set-up a long-term plan. Perhaps set a goal of having a proper 8-team state league by 2015-16. By then not only will you have the usual clubs like Quartz, Golden Threads, Josco etc but you could have brand new non-corporate clubs.
Currently you guys only have 1 non-corporate club (Quartz SC Calicut), a club championship, and a huge number of corporate clubs. That is why I believe we should not have I-League in Kerala till development allows for it.

Like I said, plan. 2015-16 should be the goal for when you guys launch an official state league. Until then the Kerala Football Association should focus on the following broad points...
A) Grassroots: Start programs at the schools from u12 to u19. Create inter-school tournaments. Set up professional KFA Camps. Grow the next generation of Kerala footballers.
Coaches: With the help of the AIFF try setting up a new generation of coaches from Kerala. Have them go through the levels of AFC "D" then AFC "C" and so on and then have them start their coaching with the youth camps and select schools so that you know that the kids are getting coached by a real professional.
C) Clubs: Currently Kerala is full of football clubs but most are corporates. The KFA needs to address this before a Senior State League can be created. The KFA should focus on negotiating with corporates etc about starting a new football club. Start a new history as a real football club. This will be the hardest step but an achievable one which will take maybe years to do.
Then, again, in 2015-15 once at least 8 professional clubs are around you guys can start the Professional League. The KPL. Set up at least 3 stadiums and you guys should be fine. Its a long process but one that bares fruits at the end.
