It is a dream only to qualify for asian cup and world cup. But why don't we enjoy the moment. It is all about present situations. Wouldn't it be good to see India playing South Korea in JLN Kochi? Forget about the result. It is better than not playing games and playing with SAFF teams.
@Ashlesh ; Clubs from west Asian countries like Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Syria, Jordan can play in AFC Champions League based on their ranking only if they satisfy AFC Champions League criteria. As of now, they do not satisfy criteria so they have to play in AFC Cup.
I am confused about 600 points situation. Thailand crossed the benchmark of 600 points so they had 1 direct slot in ACL and 2 slots in Playoff for ACL where they lost. Clubs of Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Syria, Jordan are far far away from 600 points. If just on ranking of 1-24 a country is given a slot in ACL, we need to see how it impacts us. Thailand ranking is 21st in Asia so they will make it still.
I still think this decision will cause more harm than good. Just a fake solution to make us feel good and that we are like "Europe" when all it will do will continue to favor the big giants.

The preliminary stage draw should come out later this year after WC 2014. Expecting matches to start early 2015.
