Another young PIO player discovered in Canada: Shaan Hundal. The 16-year old is a Canadian born youth international who has played 15 games for Toronto FC's II in the USL (US/Canada 3rd Division) and has scored 3 goals already. A forward, his parents were born in India.
If only he was born in India (and uncapped by Canada), we could have maybe had him on the under-17 World Cup roster (I say maybe cause there is a chance that even if born in India and uncapped, he would probably have a Canadian passport)
He is from Switzerland. His father is Stefan Burkart, two-time Olympic athlete and former Swiss
record holder over 100 and 200 meters. His mother is Helen Barnett, a
former British 400-meter runner who was part of the Swiss relay team at
the 1992 Olympics. No India connection.
