<span style="font-weight: normal; ">India will be represented in 4 categories out of 5 in </span><b>badminton </b>in this olympics..<div><br><div>Sania nehwal (womens singles)</div><div>P. Best player in India Hockey team is Sardara Singh (Only Indian to be selected in World XI). Sandeep Singh is one of the best as a penulty corner specialist but he has to improve as a defender. S V Sunil is another exciting player to watch out. About India's chance in Olympic, dont expect to win against Australia. It is not possible even by miracle or in dream. Germany, Netherland, Spain are ahead of India but they are not as good as present Australian team. We can beat them though they are going to start as favourite. We beat Britain in CWG. South Korea ranked higher than India but their performance is very poor recently and India easily beat them several times. SO we did against Pakistan. And remember India's game improved significantly since Nobbs came as coach both fitness is also at per with Western teams. So, logically it is not that impossible to reach the semi-final.
expecting a podium finish by hockey team is too much i guess.<div><br></div><div>yesterday they lost 4-2 to Britain. in a practice match before the start of this series they lost 12-1 to Oz.</div><div><br></div><div>top 6 finish would be satisfactory</div>
In indian group are,<div>Germany,<span style="font-size: 10pt; ">Netherlands(we need to upset one or a draw to have any hope to get that semi final spot)</span></div><div><span style="font-size: 10pt; "><br></span></div><div>korea(one of easier opponent given the fall in performance level of the team)</div><div><br></div><div>N. zealand(should be another match for a win)</div><div><br></div><div>and belgium(should be able to beat them and revenge for FIH champions challenge final loss)</div><div><br></div><div>So are we really expecting a top 4???for me top 6 is a fair ask from our team ...may be a podium awaits in 2016</div>
