have sent invitation to Cameroon and also Zambia. We have also sent
invite to Costa Rica, Thailand and Malaysia''
please bring Zambia :)

  • Jordan sending there A team is possible. Most of there players play in the Jordan and Bahrain league and the Jordan league begins in August but the players have World Cup Qualifying soon so the clubs should let them go. The Bahrain League (if it is like 2011-12) should start in December. There Saudi based players should also come.

The only real doubt is there one Euro based player as the Romanian League begins in July but he is not that good.

teams linked for the Nehru cup have the below present FIFA rankings

Costa Rica 65
Syria 126
Jordan 80
Nigeria 60
Cameroon 64
Zambia 43
Thailand 136
Malaysia 154
India 164
Afghanistan 168

African nations will look like sure contentors for the cup followed by the Jordan.... lets see who finally turn up..we might have suprises like last year and before that with teams trying to send the U23 teams..

AIFF has done good work this year...I now only want AIFF to confirm that INDIA will have matches scheduled for the d FIFA match days!!... that will be the icing on d cake..
• Dont believe the FIFA Rankings. Cameroon and Jordan are better. Syria is also better than that. Thailand is also better than that. They only lost 1-0 to Australia.
  • What happened to Afghanistan? I would have liked them to come and they confirmed it themselves that they accepted the invitation.
It would have helped India develop a true local footballing rivalry and given them a second chance to beat them and prove their dominance. I don't think Maldives are India's footballing rivals because they are such a small nation although they are really good.

Other teams coming this year are good! Hope Nigeria actually comes with the likes of Mikel or their other european based players and if not Cameroon will do! Actually any team from Africa will provide a good test. Jordan is a good addition. Hopefully Thailand is the South East Asian Team that accepts because we already beat Malaysia.

And In my wildest dreams I could not have Imagined India Playing against a Latin American country but I am so excited! Nigeria, Cameroon, Costa Rica have all played in world cups before. Only wished Afg could have made it and we still could have had a round robin format with 6 teams.
