Football is pretty much a Rural following game in Punjab-not elite English speaking population of Punjab. JCT (Jagatjit Cotton Textile Mills), BSF (Border Security Force),were popular teams because of jobs given to Footballers. I am afraid that next set of kids may shift their focus to Hockey instead of Football.
Tata I would be okay with. They already have a good, running academy, a stadium, a stadium which can act as a training ground, and the support there from what I hear has potential.

So three teams are at the risk of getting thrown out of the i-league, for not supporting the ISL, and getting in 2 new teams. The licensing committee is to meet on the 21st may and no more extensions, which teams are in the spot of bother here? I have a feeling that it is going to be a 10 to 12 team i-league next season.

You must be kidding me with that list, there is no defender nor goalkeeper there. Why Robin again and again. We have Sunil and Balwant, maybe we need a better mid field and a defender.
