Looks like petty politics! Yes, the AIFF should follow the rules but the GFA could have just given a bigger fine and a last warning. Also, don't understand why clubs are complaining that the AIFF team was too strong; isn't it is good that their teams get to play against a superior team which then gives them a chance to improve in the due course ?
Hopefully, GFA reconsiders their decision in the greater interest of youth development in the country.
The GFA is understood to have shortlisted 55 players, although the selection is largely lopsided since only 80 boys from the South attended the trials, held at the GFA Stadium in Duler (Mapusa) due to unavailability of the artificial-turf ground in Fatorda. More than 200 had attended the trials from North Goa.
AIFF U=19 were due to play BFC in 2 friendly matches in Bangalore on August 8th and 11th.... but trip is jeopardy because LEE "unknown" JOHNSON is making ridiculous demands...
Players must travel from Goa to Bangalore by flight ( will cost upwards of 1.5 Lakhs at last minute now)
Players need a better Hotel than what was given last time ( same Hotel that TFA and some I-league teams stayed at)
Players must be 2 to a room and not 3 to a room !
is this guy for real...
Colm Toal used to travel by flight and players by overnight bus with support staff , and I didn't like that...but this new kid is taking the limits to an extreme !!
The ground outside fatorda stadium was used by us and many other young children to play football in evening hours. And it had wonderful natural grass. From the time they put artificial turf, the ground is kept under lock and key. Mostly used by teams for training.
For a city like margao, with very few grounds this is really disappointing. I wish this turf was never installed in the first place. Anyways, who cares for the mango people.

its really poor to see that we have a AIFF team GFA team and may be WIFA and IFA team team too... rather than a pool of Indian youth players..
So much of regionalism or favouritism to players from certain teams could spoil our choice of coming with a stronger team in WC
