    @ArsenalFan700

This is the India U-19 squad....
you start spoiling the boys with demands like this before they turn professional...you create a very bad attitude amongst these impressionable lads !

Look at the likes of Bidyananda and others...already incredibly cocky and think they are the finished article...they expect to walk into an I-League club on a minimum of 20Laks !!

Goa to Bangalore is an overnight bus trip....RWFC players took a bus from Goa to Pune....BFC went back from Goa pre-season last year by bus !!

Achieve something in life and get rewarded...don't spoil them before.
Lee Johnson is nothung more than a community coach in UK...and Stephen Constantine bravado is rubbing off on him...
i feel like slapping this arrogant gora's face and explaining tobhim whete he is....
This is AIFF...they can't pay salaries on time...and this young upstart wants to make ridiculous demands....fuck of back to Rwanda where you got 1/3 this salary...and are still owed your last 3 months wages !!

@gaffertape ; One thing I do not undertstand that there are only two options for travel in India? Either overnight BUS where after spending one night in travel, you need one full day to recover. Other option is expensive Flight. The same thing used to happen earlier when I-league games were staged in Kolhapur or travel to Pune. Clubs used to travel by Bus from Delhi to Ludhiana by Bus for JCT fixtures.
Why not 2nd AC compartment in Train? Train is way more comfortable then Bus. Atleast you can lie down and sleep in AC in train. Train is not that expensive either. Unless one has a fetish for Rajdhani Express, getting Reservations is also not a big deal with careful planning and choice of trains.

I wonder if they can plan 3 months in advance. On some routes if u go on the first day of booking i.e 90 days in advance, u will not get tickets after 30 min of booking starting. All touts are making a quick buck. So atleast for trains in/out from Goa, it is near to impossible.

Thanks @Dominic for the proper explanation  , also there are very good overnight buses  , and the train actually takes twice as long...
Bus is door to door service

Take a day to fully recover... the proposed trip to Bangalore was for 1 week , and then fly out from there for AFC

Just poor excuses from the coach...

@Gaffertape To be honest, I was not really looking at his flight demand and do agree that taking a bus, or even train as @munna219777 suggested, would be good options. I was looking at the hotel and player-per-room demand. I am not sure what the average hotel is like for I-League teams or TATA FA but at least set them up at something that Bengaluru FC would get into for a bit. I don't expect them to stay at the Leela Palace or something but at least a good hotel where the players can rest and get the accommodations needed.

As for the players-per-room, I see no problem with that other than as a cost-saving move.

Perhaps AIFF need to tell Johnson that if he got rid of the flight demand then there would be more money that could be used towards accommodation at a good hotel, room numbers, and even things needed on the practice fields.

As for having the boys spoiled. I mean, the top footballing countries take their players to some of the best youth tournaments in the world which take place at the best facilities on Earth, from Qatar, to Touloun, Florida, whatever. The hotels they stay at are probably luxurious, and everything else handed to them... that definitely happens to those 16-18 year olds who go with their European club abroad for pre-season.

As long as the AIFF don't pay for the players to fly first-class on a Emirates flight but just a simple economy setting or something on an Air India or Jet Airways etc I don't see the problem? If they get cocky then that is there problem, lots of youth players suffer from it and we've seen the result.

Cmon man train do not take double the time.
Goa to Bangalore - 13 hours by train
Goa to Pune - 12 hours by train
Mumbai to Goa- 9 hours by train.

It will be difficult to get bus take you for half that time. Bus is tiring like hell.
Can anyone tell me how much time Bus takes for these three trips?

Its a myth that you require 3 months and touts to get train reservation. Just get a competent person to go to Railway Reservation Office. @Domnic Please dont tell me that to get a seat in Karmali-Dadar Jan shatabdi Express, you need three months wait unless you are going on x-mas or Diwali eve. I can get Reserved seat in AC for you on that train any day you wish.
Only reason I see these clubs pushing for Bus is their long term contract of transportation with some bus company.

@ArsenalFan700 Even in IPL, I have seen players like Dhoni on Economy class in private airlines so I dont see that problem.
    ;)

I do not wish to push this discussion further. But just a last clarification. Jan Shatabdi Express is a seater train. So it is nothing better than going by bus. Hence tickets may be available for it. Getting seats/berths in 2A or 3A on the other trains out of Goa to mumbai is difficult especially the overnight trains which everybody prefers. There is no point buying 2A or 3A sleeper for a day train.
Mumbai-Goa ; 12 Hrs (Bus), 12 Hrs (Train except shatabdi)
    Mumbai-Pune : 11 Hrs (Bus, 12 Hrs (Train)
