Del piero has hinted at joining either america or japan. Seems very unlikely he is gonna come to india.

spend high on 4 foreigners and marquee coaches and you will get good quality @coolgagan

I hate ISL becoz of outdated foreigners but love the fact they are getting youngster from 2nd division. This would not increase the quality of the football tough, but will help the I-league clubs with more knowledge about players and bring the salaries some crap players like odafe, penn, etc. I-league clubs now can choose foreigners from a bigger pool. If one demands more money, officials just need to move on to another player. But, as of now all this is a big dream for me.

    (1) chennai city fc ohh. did they negotiated with img-r. or why they are not pledging aiff to talk to img-r about ground issue. if they are serious enough they can at least do that. chennai isn't a venue for isl.
    (2) img-r is a sponsor of national body. if aiff seriously wanted to have the match in any other stadium they easily can. here comes the sponsorship issue. as jsw is spnsoring so the pak match at bengaluru. and palestine friendly to siliguri probably a strategy to connect north eastern india with the game. I'm not sure though.
    (3) i think i told about it in prev comment.
    (4) merge the two. i told earlier.
@7negi ashis bro that is my opinion

buddy i think u are overestimating the hype that can be created by ISL. i mean seriously you put a poster of capdevilla dribbling a ball in one area while having billy mehmet giving a running post its gonna give u the same impact from ur audience... Curiosity and thats it.

All i see is putting paper over cracks. NFL had problems so u had I-League and now I-league seems to have a problem so u cover it up with ISL?
get to the root cause mate.. its the lack of willpower from AIFF and IMG Rel pushing its agenda.
i still dont get it. u are able to market ISL but cant market I-league? why? i dont think quality wise our best marketing firms are any less better than IMG.. i mean we packaged the IPL to the world and it didnt take an IMG to do it.

btw ur points on chennai not allowed to enter i-league is far fetched. the actual reason os chennai city fc were denied permission to use the ground due to a MOU between SDAT and IMG.
when questioned SDAT could help it and IMG were unable to comment at all. the frickin ground was saved up for a chennai ISL franchise which no one giving a shit to IMG they decided to keep blocking it to either force sungroup there or have a naive corporate fall to the trap.
end result, one genuine club wanted to start a i-league team and might as well could have done a BFC was not allowed.

@dx just a correction img was part of ipl also. Other than that i agree that there needs to be a long term plan if we want india to develop as a better footballing nation.

IMG-Reliance is owner of Mumbai Indians in IPL. They created a shadow company IndiaWin Sports Pvt. Ltd. for that.

Why don't they make a separate company for ISL?
