    India Under-16 to go on an exposure trip to Netherlands 

    The academy cadets at Kalyani will benefit from the trip to Holland which has been facilitated by technical director, Robert Baan...

    The Goutam Ghosh coached side will also get an opportunity to train at the famed Royal Netherlands Football Association’s (KNVB) Sports Centre at Zeist.

    The India Colts will play against some of the best youth teams from Netherlands such as PSV Eindhoven, FC Twente, AZ Alkmaar and Excelsior Rotterdam amongst others.

    India U-16 will also face Germany’s FC Schalke at the Gelsenkirchen on August 13th, 2014. On the 17th of this month, they shall also face Belgium’s KRC Genk which have produced stars such as Chelsea’s Thibaut Courtois, Wolfsburg’s Kevin de Bruyne and FC Porto’s Steven Defour.

    This is excellent but I'm worried that there are better players back home who could have gained and lot from this tour.

    @dhungel35 Yes you are right. India U-14 team will represent India in U-17 World Cup in 2017. But such trips are very expensive otherwise all young talented players in India should be taken for exposure trips.

    3 matches on a single day... :o So my guess that the matches will be of shorter duration. Well more like the youth festival

    I would also guess that the players will be split into separate teams or something like that. Either way this trip is good for them. We may be about to lose every game we play but regardless this trip will help these kids gain some valuable experience on how to play who have been gaining some high level training for years now.
