  • People like Ravi Pillai and Yusuf Ali has no interest in football as far as I am aware, and you can bet your ass they can be as stingy as it gets.

Anas Edathodika, CK Vineeth, Rino Anto, TP Rehenesh, Zakeer Mundampara, Sushant Mathew, Mohd. Rafi, Justin Stephen are the Malayali players in the ISL. Apart from Sushant, everyone else is at least physically in good condition (remember Papachan Pradeep?) and a strong Malayali core would have helped them. Rehenesh, Rafi, Stephen and Zakeer can be hit or miss but even they are better than Peter Carvalho, Deepak Mondal, Sandip Nandy and Manan-effing-deep!

Well, we did have Fateh Hyderabad type clubs at one point in Kerala. Eagles FC and Quartz were supposed to have big aspirations in 2012's 2nd Division (Golden Threads was always rubbish). Josco was rubbish, and Malabar United folded.

This was the first year actually that we do not have Kerala representation in the I-League or I-League 2nd Division. And we don't know the affects of Fateh Hyderabad yet.

Oh come on, Zakeer has been on the bench only for Chennaiyin... he would not make a difference with Kerala Blasters. Same with Justin Stephen. Rehenesh has shown his true colours in 2015. They're decent players but lets not fool anyone into thinking these guys would have changed anything drastically.

And the draft and structure of the ISL made it harder to get these guys IF they wanted them. Anas Edathodika was probably the one that got away with his cheap price at the auction.

The basic problem for Kerala football the useless state federations ...they still not able the conduct a proper state league all these years and hardly do any youth development programs , and they hardly supported any club Kerala whether it is in l-league  or second division  .. But nobody question them..not even the so called former stars who are now after Blasetrs

And regarding the KBFC fans the truth is that majority of them don't know what exactly is happening with Indian football and in  isl especially .They not even heard about cut money football edge etc  they love football and believing in whatever happening in front of them, which is ISL....                                  ,

The only club which offered visibility in the recent past in Kerala was Viva Kerala and that club got a serious blow first when they changed the name to Chirag United Kerala and the final blow when they got relegated.

There may have been clubs like Eagles FC, Golden threads, josco, Quartz etc but they had no support or the required patronage. Most like Josco were gimmicks to save taxes.

Now also, there are clubs like Ananthapuri FC, Kovalam FC, malappuram FC but they are not even good to play in Kerala state league which has only institutional clubs.

In a school where the head master is 8th pass how do you expect students to become graduates? The state FA, AIFF share the majority of the blame here.

Corruption. Anyways, in India anyone who can read and write their name is counted as literate ;)

  • Nothing to do with football, but corruption is NOT the reason for the high literacy rate in Kerala, If you don't know such things, I think you can help yourself and stop making uneducated comments like this.
