These guys are our immediate Future core but hardly seem to be able to get consistent performances.
Time they make transition into the main team and cement the place.
Am really worried about the defense though. We don't seem to have quality at the back enough except Gurpreet to be competitive at an AFC top half level.
Robin is definitely not the future! Manvir can be maybe Udanta has already stepped up as he is a key member of senior NT..Changte has done well in the chances he got..at the back Salam Ranjan Singh and Lalruathara are responding well and can soon step up..there are some more who were ignored by SC
In a recent interview SC said India needs to develop its own brand of football rather than following other brand of football likes Spain, Brazil etc. But the way he handle the national team its look like he tries to promote a Ram Bharose football style. where we defend ourselves for the 90 mins. And If by god grace we get the ball kick it as long as possible to the opponent half..is that's the style we need to follow then all Ram Bharose .If we consider the last couple of games there is no mid field play, there is no one to one pass nothing. we are lucky to have sunil on our side, he saves us every time. Sorry to say but Sc is a typical arrogant British cunt. We have enough resources to build a strong team at least at the asian level but his arrogancy stop that to happen. He has achieved nothing as a coach but by his behaviour its look like he is next to Morinho. I have had so much respect for BB but with his recent activity its all gone. He do every thing for his own benefit he has nothing to do with the development of football. SC needs to sacked as early as possible otherwise if we qualify for the Asia Cup it would be just another repeat telecast of the 2011 asia cup. And as long as BB is there in the advisory committee its never gonna happen. I would say BB as a player also has very less amount of contribution in our national football team as he was injured himself every time we needed him the most. Even in Afc challenger Cup from which we qualify for the Asian cup Sunil contributed more than BB.
Not sure u can sack SC now that he is firmly entrenched after 2 wins which puts us in drivers seat for a Asian cup entry plus a top 100 ranking.

This guy comes from a typical championship tactical thinking, Play direct, Fast and keep less of the ball but play with more intent. Midfield will never be the strong point in his gameplay.

After ISL Finals fracas, Romeo was called for National Team (SAFF Cup) but he refused to come. He claimed he was unfit/injured but he refused for even Medical examination by NT Medical Staff. SC will never take such players.
Gurpreet Sandhu also went abroad, didnt show such attitude. He always made himself available for every National Team commitment, even for Friendlies.

While replying a question about Romeo's joining with Atletico Paranaense He said he doesn't want those player who joins a club just for a publicity or promotional hoax. set aside the Romeo saga. What about Balwant Singh, Kean Lewis, Brandon Fernandez, Brandon Vanlalremdika they are more deserving candidates than all those lord out there. Btw he actually avoid the goan players, who knows may be he influenced by AIFF or by some others persons . Recently a question about inclusion of Brandon fernandez in the National Team , He insulted a journalist by saying are u the agent of those player you talking about. Such a arrogant man.
@munna219777 what I read was fc Goa said to NT that Mandar and Romeo are unfit and they won't be able to join the team ( though when team was announced there was no name of Mandar, I don't know when they added him)
fc Goa even asked that they will have medical checkup/fitness test (don't remember exactly) also to prove players unfit conditions
what exactly happened don't know, but both got 4 months ban. (Incidentally I joined ifn when searching for what happened to Romeo and Mandar)
and I think that incident has happened due to that drama in isl final in Goa. May be that's why Romeo and Mandar played second division to show their loyalty to their owner ( like zico said , why he missed isl final post match presentation)
It is upto National Team camp and Medical staff to decide whether Romeo is fit or not. Not sending Romeo even for fitness test at National Team camp even though being included in the Squad and then FC Goa issuin medical report of being injured is a total farce. This means you dont care about National team. Brazil promotional trip and ISL became more important for the player that time and sadly that has ended his chance to ever play for NT. SC was short of players that time, Jairu Borges Lalrinzuala took that opportunity and made the place in squad.
Both Brandon are a different case. SC can tell that why they are not there in National Squad !!!!
