Dattaraj's companies name is slapped on the FC Goa jersey. When people watch FC Goa or buy their jersey, that is the logo that is on the kit. They are surely not paying for that exposure and that is free... not sure how that is losing.
Mr Dattaraj is brother-in-law of Ambani. So he must have got some instructions before joining this bandwagon. All the ISL owners, ISL promoters (Actors, Players) plus many of I-League club owners as well as head of AIFF all live in South Bombay within few miles radius and keep in touch with each other at parties, marriage functions. :P
Rwfc showed that northeast clubs aren't pushovers. Aizawl may also surprise few clubs as they have been playing quite long together. Lajong may struggle ,but they are surviving from last few years due to their foreign imports.
It seems that sooner rather than later, one of the teams from NE will benefit from having a consistent coaching philosophy and a solid pool of players, Although with such a strategy the quality of foreign imports becomes very critical (diff b/w title challengers and relegation threats)....Hope the NE clubs manage to get the foreign signings right this time especially Aizawal.....BTW 1) does anyone have an idea of finally who all are in the shortlist of Aizawal coaching job & when is it likely to be finalized? 2) What is the status of Rangdajaied? are they likely to make a serious comeback in the national scene?
