@mohammed_87hassan You cannot compare present India NT with Bob's Asian Cup 2011 squad. That team was way more experienced, fit and talented. They won AFC Challenge Cup, Nehru Cup, SAFF Cup. They were dominant against South Asian teams as well as teams like Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kyrghyzstan, Myanmar, Malaysia and even Syria, Lebanon. Results do matter. Koevarmans started the defeat phenomenon and Constantine is continuing it. I wonder when will I see India NT winning any game?
@goalkeeper Sorry mate, despite the heroics of Jhingran, don't think he can make more than 3rd division of any respectable European league, if at all. If he is keen on going abroad, he is unlikely, he should look at may be Thai League or Indonesian league.
Agreed @Ashlesh but then why would a top division side in Europe will sign Jhingran? I mean if they would, Jhingran wouldn't be playing for Sporting Club and KBFC, right?
It's a ambiguous situation. There are players who can be coached and are receptive to coaching, and can improve a LOT with that coaching and a higher level of football. Jhingan is young enough and has shown enough to suggest that he can potentially be one of those players to step up and transcend the limits you have put on him. And after all, he did get trial offers from Denmark, Spain (2nd division club), Turkey and Switzerland, and to that suggests that he is not as ordinary a player as you guys suggest.
As for why they would go for an India player? Apart from the interest it would generate in their league, some clubs may well believe that he is a pretty decent player, who if develops well, the foregn club can sell for a profit later, and this is one of the main sources of income for clubs in Switzerland, Denmark, Turkey etc.
